In trying to raise the profile of the abbey grounds we invited BANES councillors Alex Beaumont and George Leach to meet with members of the abbey volunteers on Friday 28th February. Many people in Keynsham are not aware of the site and we thought that we would emphasise the historical importance of the abbey as recognised by English Heritage. We had a good meeting discussing how to extend the interest of the site to the wider community. The photo shows our Chair, Elaine Cook with Councillors Alex Beaumont and George Leach.
